What is social and community participation?

Social & community participation is one of the core supports in NDIS. It includes:

1. Social and recreation support

Social and recreation activities are an important part of life for many people. You may enjoy these activities independently, or with friends, family and/or the community. If you need extra help to participate in social and recreation activities because of your disability, NDIS may be able to fund it.

2. Work and study support

At Adiba Care, we strive to aid people with disabilities in the pursuit of educational and professional opportunities. Our mission is to provide necessary resources to help those with disabilities get to their place of work or learning, as well as helping them find the right job or course that suits their needs and abilities. We believe in social and community participation, so everyone has access to achieving their goals.

Not sure what to do or where to start? Ask one of our friendly support coordinators for assistance.

Why is social and community participation important?

  • Feel safe in the community
  • Learn new skills or pursue your hobbies and interests.
