If your NDIS plan includes funding for travel & transport, we are here to help.

To fund travel & transport under the NDIS, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) needs to be is satisfied that you cannot use public transport without substantial difficulty due to your disability. In addition, you need to prove that the support:

• is a result of your disability needs
• will assist you to pursue your goals, objectives, and aspirations, and
• is reasonable and necessary

It is important to know that funding considers any relevant taxi subsidy scheme for you if you have a disability, but it does not cover transport assistance for your carer and family to transport you with a disability for everyday commitments.

Also, the amount of transport allowance the NDIS provides each year depends on your needs, on your personal situation, and how often you work or study.
